Phubbing means - PHone snUBBING

One of the major reasons for separation in relationships is 'phubbing'. This is a type of mental disorder, in which you keep focusing on the phone instead of talking to the person sitting next to you.

In this condition, apart from your mental health, physical and social behavior is adversely affected.

This addiction gradually gives tension and depression. It is not a good thing to give more time to the phone and because of that, ignore friends or relatives.

According to experts, the effect of phubbing falls on both sides, but the one who is being ignored, it has a huge impact on him. Because when someone ignores your words and considers their phone more important than you, then negative thoughts like anger, sadness and trouble come in your mind. You do not even realize that gradually your social circle starts decreasing.

There are some important things to keep in mind to deal with this situation.

•Do not use your phone while eating food at home or office. If possible, keep the phone far away from you. No matter how many alert messages keep ringing, spend this time with your loved ones.

•After eating, talk to the people sitting around you. You might feel a bit awkward in the beginning, but gradually your old talent for talking to people will come back.

•Try leaving the phone in your bag, desk or cupboard with the phone switched off for a while. During this you can meditate or talk to your favorite people.

•Decide for a few hours a day that you will no longer touch the phone and after doing so keep yourself busy with other things. Do it for a few minutes in the beginning, then gradually extend the time.

•If someone close to you is suffering from this problem and want to get rid of this habit, then be a good example yourself. Before you stop them from getting into the phone, first you should control yourself.

• The use of smartphones has increased nowadays due to the accessibility of the Internet. Due to always being on the internet, the notifications of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram keep coming again and again. In such a situation, even if you are talking to someone, even then a glance goes on the phone.
